Shaimaa Sakr is an Egyptian librarian working in UAE. The pandemic enabled her to explore Nearpod, a web-based tool to promote active learning and student engagement in the classroom. During this session, Shaimaa will introduce how Nearpod can be used to interact with students.

We were super excited to host Dr. Sy Stokes's special session on student activism. In this session, Stokes talks about student activism and political engagement in education, which empowered all of us to advance inclusion, equity, and racial justice in the classroom and on campus.

Walter D. Butler (Pasadena City College) and Xiao Behlendorf (Los Angeles Valley College) will share the OER text “Introduction to College Research” and a supplemental Canvas created by a team of California community college librarians.
